On this beautiful sabbath afternoon I find myself facing the rushing sound of summer. Soon I will be down in Loma Linda for the summer where I will be interning for three months. Soon after that I will be heading for Peru! The exact date has not been nailed down yet. It is looking like I will be leaving at the end of September or beginning of October. I will be preceded by two Walla Walla University alumni, Mr. and Mrs. Linfoot, who will be arriving early in September.
Paul Opp has some ideas and projects for us to work on. They currently have a small chicken and fish farm that they want to expand and make into an income source. They also have rice production that they want us to help market. There are other projects to that will be developed, which I will tell you about later.
The goal of all of these projects is to: 1) provide food for POPP (people of peru project) 2) provide an income stream for POPP 3) and provide jobs for the locals in Iquitos. I am thrilled to be helping out in all of these objectives and I hope to bless others. I'm glad all of you are joining me in this too!

Tell me about Iquitos
I'm thrilled to let all of you know that I have been officially accepted to work with the "People of Peru" organization this next year. Click Here for the link to their official website. Shortly I will place a blog telling you a little about what Peru is like (from my research). Enjoy.
